Ash over Bali continues to cause canceled flights
VOLCANIC ash over Indonesia continues to cause havoc on flights to and from popular holiday spot Bali, with more flights cancelled Sunday.
Virgin Australia cancelled all flights into and out of Denpasar yesterday as winds worsen the impact of a volcanic ash cloud from Indonesia's Mt Raung.
Jetstar also cancelled six of its flights in and out of Bali yesterday.
"At this stage, we're advising customers not to travel to the airport for flights to and from Bali and to closely monitor their flight status on Jetstar.com," Jetstar said in a statement yesterday.
Virgin Australia released a statement saying it was continuing to monitor the situation and that it would update customers as soon as new information was made available.
