‘Armed gunmen’ arrested after police car rammed

TWO people have been arrested after a police car was rammed during an evade incident at Cooran, in the Noosa hinterland, last night.

A spokesman from Queensland Police said police attended an address on Jampot Creek Rd about 5.30pm and found two people in a vehicle.

The car rammed the police vehicle in an attempt to escape officers.

Two people were taken into custody, but no charges have been laid.

A resident told the Daily the offenders were "armed gunmen", but police have not confirmed that claim.

Investigations are continuing.
