CBX Hotel violent robbery remains unsolved
Three masked men who stormed a Caloundra hotel and held up seven people at gunpoint remain at large more than 12 months after the terrifying ordeal.
The trio, armed with a sawn-off shotgun and rifle, violently robbed the Caloundra CBX hotel in the early hours of November 22, 2019.
The firearms were pointed at a security guard and people inside the hotel's poker room were demanded to place their hands on their head and stand still.
The offenders fled with cash in a black Mitsubishi sedan.

Caloundra CIB officer-in-charge Senior Sergeant Chris Eaton said the case was unsolved.
"There are a number of persons of interest and the case is still actively being looked at," he said.
"It was captured on CCTV and their identity is paramount to solving it.
"Usually, people out there in the community know who these offenders are.
"We believe they were locals or were known to frequent the Coast."

Snr-Sgt Eaton said several active lines of inquiry were being looked at.
"We believe this offence is linked to similar offences throughout southeast Queensland prior to this robbery," he said.
"We encourage anyone who has any knowledge of the offenders or even suspicions to come forward."
Snr-Sgt Eaton said it was "unusual" for three offenders to all be armed which he said indicated that a fair amount of "pre-planning" went into it.
