Bulldogs put their Blues behind them in savaging the Eels

BLUES trio Trent Hodkinson, Josh Jackson and Brett Morris put their Origin disappointment behind them, all playing key roles in the Bulldogs' 24-4 triumph over the Eels at ANZ Stadium.

The win cemented Canterbury's position in the top eight - they are on 22 competition points, while Parramatta's fight for September action just got tougher - they are stuck on 18 points.

Hodkinson set up the blue and whites' first try, breaking the line with ease and finding Frank Pritchard who scored under the posts.

Pritchard grabbed his second early in the second half, collecting a well-weighted kick from Josh Reynolds for a 12-4 lead.

The Bulldogs went through the hands for Jackson to score his try, before Morris picked up a chip kick then weaved his way through the Eels defence to score.

Meanwhile, the Storm ran riot over the Panthers, winning 52-10 in a 10 tries to two thrashing at AAMI Park.

BULLDOGS 24 (F Pritchard 2, B Morris, T Hodkinson tries; T Hodkinson 4 goals) EELS 4 (S Radradra try). At ANZ Stadium.
