Grab a bargain at Capella Christmas in July markets
WHETHER you love browsing for a bargain, are a food connoisseur or looking for a fun morning out, you will love the Christmas in July markets on Saturday.
The C&K Capella Early Childhood Centre is running the event which starts at 9am at the Capella Cultural Centre.
Organiser Kyla Harry said there would be more than 100 stalls this year, promising something for everyone.
There will be woodwork stalls, clothes, art, furniture and craft stalls to browse, local groups performing demonstrations throughout the day and free activities for kids.
For those looking to sample international cuisine, there will be flavours from around the world including Thai, Indian and Japanese, along with a coffee van and baked goods.
"There is a massive cent sale with more than 70 prizes and a kids' corner with face painting and a jumping castle,” Kyla said.
"It's an annual event and our major fundraiser for the centre.
"We are fundraising to extend the centre and garden and do some upgrades to the staff room.”
With plenty of space at the cultural centre, Kyla said they were preparing for big numbers for the event, which runs until 3pm.
"It's a huge day,” she said.
"People come from all over Queensland for it and we get stallholders from all over for it.
"Come for a great day out with loads of prizes and a few lucky door prizes.”
Entry is $5 for adults and children are free.
