Lee Kernaghan leads the 2014 Golden Guitar nominations
THE Boy from the Bush Lee Kernaghan leads this year's Golden Guitar nominations.
The former Australian of the Year received seven nominations for the 2014 Country Music Awards of Australia, to be held in Tamworth on January 25.
But hot on his tail with six nods each are acclaimed singer songwriter Sarah Storer with her album Lovegrass and country music gentlemen Troy Cassar-Daley and Adam Harvey with their hit record The Great Country Songbook.
Troy Cassar-Daley was the toast of last year's awards, taking home four Golden Guitars for his eighth studio album Home.

Husband-and-wife duo O'Shea and Australia's Got Talent finalists The Wolfe Brothers secured four nominations each and petite powerhouse Jasmine Rae is up for three awards.
Famous Aussie country music export Keith Urban is up for four awards for his album Fuse including Album of the Year, Male Artist of the Year and Top Selling Album of the Year.
Pete Denahy and Colin Buchanan will host the 42nd annual awards, which honour the best in Australian country music and take place during the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
January's awards ceremony will include performances by nominees Troy Cassar-Daley, Adam Harvey and Sarah Storer as well as beloved bush balladeer John Williamson.
