'Lonely Boy' the most played song on Australian radio
THE Black Keys song Lonely Boy has been crowned the most played song on Australian radio in 2012.
The Grammy-nominated song topped AirCheck's annual Top 100 airplay figures list, released yesterday, reaching a total of more than 16,000 plays.
The Most Played Artist on radio in 2012 was Pink with more than 43,000 plays and the most played Australian artist was Guy Sebastian with his songs playing more than 29,950 times during the year.
American indie band fun. had two entries in the Top 10 most played songs, which also included British singer songwriter Ed Sheeran, American pop singer Carly Rae Jepsen, British rockers Coldplay and American rock band Maroon 5.
