Medical centre staff rush to help driver in crash

Paramedics have rushed a driver to hospital after the car they were travelling in crashed into a building on a busy Coast road.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said crews were called to the corner of Kensington Dr and Nicklin Way in Minyama about 8.15am on Friday.

The driver was called in as an elderly man but it was unconfirmed.

The spokeswoman said staff from a nearby medical centre, believed to be the Kawana Waters Medical Centre, helped the driver on scene.

The driver did not suffer any obvious injuries but was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
