New gourmet deli brings a little bit of Europe to the city
OPEN for less than a week, new gourmet shop Panini Fine Foods is already making a name for itself.
The new Duggan St shop opened earlier this week and welcomed 120 customers through its doors on Thursday.
Manager Ash Forbes said his idea to bring a little bit of Europe to the city already seemed to be paying off.
"A lot of our friends here were driving to Brisbane to get their gourmet stuff," he said.
"We wanted to bring something stunning to Toowoomba."
Impeccable styling was also important to Mr Forbes, with fresh flowers and herbs adding a homely ambience to the chic space.
Preparing fresh salads and sandwiches daily, the deli also offers Italian salamis, hams, prosciutto, pates, cheese, dips, olives and bread.
For those sweet tooths, there is also a delectable selection of cakes, Turkish delight, biscuits, slice, nougat and mousse.
"We try to do everything fresh as we go," he said.
- Open 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 3pm on Saturday.
- Offer fresh salads and sandwiches, as well as cold meats and sweet treats.
- Can prepare platters made to order.
