No left shark? Super Bowl 50's colourful half-time show
THE antics of Katy Perry's confused backup dancer "left shark" inspired a flood of memes during last year's Super Bowl half-time show.
But this year's 50th anniversary entertainment went off without a hitch, and there wasn't much for the internet to poke fun of thanks to Coldplay's upbeat rock songs and a dance-off between Beyonce and Bruno Mars.
Beyonce's bevvy of backup dancers were on point and Mars' moves were, not surprisingly, flawless in his performance of Uptown Funk.

Coldplay opened proceedings with the band's songs Viva La Vida, Paradise and Adventure of a Lifetime, off the British rock band's most recent album A Head Full of Dreams.
Beyonce performed a portion of her new song Formation, which is making waves thanks to its gritty video clip.
The consensus on Twitter so far seems to be that Beyonce and Bruno outshone Coldplay.

The half-time show also featured a montage of past performers including Bruce Springsteen, the Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder and Katy Perry.
Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake were noticeably absent after their controversial performance in 2004, which coincidentally was the last time the Carolina Panthers played in a Super Bowl.
